| The main conference will be held during November 19-21, 2008. It will feature plenary / invited talks by eminent scientists and engineers, paper presentations, poster sessions and industrial exhibits. The main theme of the conference is related to novel and innovative technologies that bring about societal changes for good. An interesting feature of this conference is the student design contest being organized in all subject areas relevant to the conference. The conference is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES), IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) and IEEE Electron Device Society (EDS). Papers presented at the conference and having a subject matter within the technical scope of IEEE IAS are eligible for review for inclusion in the IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications or the Industry Applications magazine.
